How it works

ECU Facile · How it works

How can you have your control unit repaired or replaced?

Describe the fault, receive a proposal and approve the work. We prioritise repair whenever it is possible.

A solution for your control unit and its fault

We start with the vehicle information, the symptoms and the checks already performed. When the model allows, bench tests help to find the origin of the breakdown.

If a repair is possible, it allows to keep your original control unit. Otherwise, we study compatible replacement and programming needs.

Cloning consists of copying the original data to a compatible control unit. This solution depends on the recoverable data. Reseting or adapting, depending on the model, makes it possible to prepare the control unit for its configuration for your vehicle.

1. Describe the fault

In your request for a quote, indicate:

  • The vehicle make, model, year and engine.
  • The control unit part number, if you know it.
  • Symptoms and fault codes available.
  • Any checks or repairs already carried out.

A legible photo of the label can be sent by e-mail or WhatsApp.

2. Receive a proposal

We examine your request and specify the solution envisaged, the price and the conditions of support. The estimated time depends on the control unit, the breakdown and the necessary parts.

3. Approve the service

After you agree, follow the instructions received to send your control unit or arrange its replacement. Contact us before shipping.

4. Repair or replacement

After receiving and checking the equipment, we carry out the agreed intervention: repair, supply of a control unit, cloning or programming, depending on the feasibility.

Specific immobiliser solutions, such as immo off or an emulator, require an assessment of the control unit and vehicle.

5. Return of the control unit

The return is organised according to the agreed conditions. Shipping possibilities, tracking and fees are specified according to the destination.
